New Clients

To ensure all our pups have a safe and fun experience, we thoroughly interview every new addition to our pack! Properly getting to know your pooch is crucial to giving them the best care possible! Learn how to get started below!

Daycare Guest Assessment

While we strongly believe there is no such thing as a “bad dog”, our off-leash, high energy daycare environment does not appeal to every pup (and that’s okay!). Before becoming a Pup Stop regular, we ask that your dog first visit us for a “Meet and Greet”. We will get on a first name basis with your pooch as well as introduce them to a few of our other daycare pups to get a better idea of their temperament and play style. If everyone is having a good time, your pooch will be invited to stay for half day of daycare in order to learn the ropes, free of charge!

Please be aware that daycare is not a good fit for every pup. Just like humans, all dogs are different! Even if our daycare program is not the perfect match for your pooch, we do welcome dogs of various temperaments to board with us!

Boarding Guest Assessment

While our boarding pups are invited to join our daycare dogs for a day full of play, our facility has multiple outdoor yards to accommodate dogs who are not interested in making new friends. The Pup Stop is stocked full of enough toys and enrichment activities to entertain any pooch!

Our only requirement (beside being up to date on vaccinations) is that your pup is comfortable being handled by our staff. Our facility is not equipped with run rooms, in order to ensure the safety of our staff and the comfortability of your dog(s), all boarding pups must be non-aggressive towards humans.

Rules and Regulations

  1. All pups must be up to date on Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations for at least one week before their visit.

  2. All daycare pups be OLDER than 4 months.

  3. All daycare pups must be spayed or neutered if 7 months of age or older.

Tip for puppy parents: Male puppies tend to have better social skills and overall manners if they are neutered as early as your veterinarian advises.

  4. Must not be aggressive towards dogs or people. Daycare dogs must be able to play well with others.

  5. Must be on a flea/tick preventative year-round.

  6. Pups must wear a collar with standard "pinch to release buckle". (Please no leather collars, they tend to get chewed on by other dogs)

  7. Successfully complete their Meet and Greet

Required Vaccinations

  1. Rabies

  2. DHLP or equivalent

  3. Bordetella*

* The Bordetella vaccination has a wait period of 7 days before being completely effective. Your pup is welcome to join us for daycare/boarding on the 8th day after receiving the vaccination!
